Jeri Goldstein, We Salute You.

Found a GOLDMINE today and I want to share with you folks ASAP. I reckon a lot of more experienced readers have found this long ago, but I also know there’s broke rappers even more confused than me checking Audible Hype: this is for y’all.
Jeri Goldstein is the author of How to be Your Own Booking Agent, which I will be ordering as soon as I have “money” again. Jeri is also giving away a huge library of articles available right here: covering everything about live performance and how to book a damn show.
The reason I stumbled across this: I suddenly realized my email game was sorely lacking. Since I started this DIY tour initiative, I’ve contacted 412 people and gotten 71 responses. Of those 71 responses, I’ve currently gotten 2 gigs. Most of the shows on my calender are West Coast dates which I owe entirely to the connections and generosity of my friend Devastate, a driven and talented kid from Las Vegas.
So clearly, I’m not operating at peak capacity, here. I’m not making a professional impression and I’m not addressing what club owners, talent buyers and promoters want to read about. Fortunately, I’m an obsessive self-teacher, too, so I’m going to fix all that and report to you about what I learned on the way. Meanwhile: THANK YOU, Jeri Goldstein.
